Special Features

This body shape is the perfect body type that we all would love to have! You are well endowed with perfect balance. Your busts and hips are roughly the same size, although you may have larger busts and hips. You have curved lines and waist is indented and defined. However I am sure you are still wondering what are the best choices for yourself.

What to wear

In general, clothes that are slim at the waist are best to enhance and show off your curves and feminine body. In some cases your legs may not be as long as you like so you may want to emphasize your legs. Tops with “V” or “U” neckline and addition of peplum (flounce at the bottom of a top) are most flattering. A dress that wraps around or ties at the waist – similar to trench coats – will accentuate your curves. Dresses that are fitted and have some flare are key to showing off your beautiful femininity. A well-fitting bra will not only provide important support but will enhance your beautiful shape for your clothes to drape.

This is a soft flowing wrap dress which adds emphasis and femininity to the hour glass figure. It equals out the proportions rather than exaggerate them creating a soft feminine look.

In this photo the deep blue dress with added detail of small pleats at the waist line provides just enough fullness at the waistline. The “V” neck line provides both direction for eyes to wonder up towards her face and to show off the chest area creating a soft pleasing look. The black pant suit is a nice display of again the “V” neck creating lightness in the chest area and the straight pant with flare at the bottom will enhance the hourglass figures curves.

Here you see Meghan Markle wearing a “V” neck sweater softening her chest area and adding emphasize to her face. The solid color throughout elongates her look giving her a long legged look. The pencil skirt provides emphasize and enhancement to her curves.

A longer blazer tailored to fit and matching your curves is the best choice. Smaller lapels provide the most flattering look to the chest area.

Yes! you can wear skinny jeans! They accentuate those beautiful curves and elongate your legs. Paired with this tailored blazer or jacket left open is the perfect casual look for the hourglass figure.

What not to wear

  • Avoid big pockets on skirts and bodices
  • Avoid gathered, ruffled or yoke tops or big collars
  • Be cautious of boat necklines, turtle, halter top or empire lines if you want to de-emphasize your chest area
  • Do not wear very full skirts or very narrow skirts if you don’t want to emphasize your hips
